Position Overview


The CRM Architect is responsible for defining technical solutions to business problems across the Salesforce platform. The Salesforce Architect leads the development of technical strategy, solves unique or complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions specific to the platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Developers, QA and other members of the scrum team to translate business needs/requirements into technical solutions in Salesforce
  • Lead technical design sessions, designing and documenting technical solutions to business and technical challenges, while leveraging best practices and solution patterns for the platform
  • Coordinate with internal security teams to ensure compliance with company security standards
  • Design, document and develop enterprise integrations and data migrations while establishing integration patterns for connecting Salesforce to internal applications and 3rd-party data feeds
  • Document as-is and to-be architecture solutions and present complex solution options for going from one to the other to key technical and business stakeholders
  • Provide input and expertise in managing the Agile release approach including sandbox management, version control, automated test runs, continuous integration and automatic deployment
  • Evaluate, understand and stay current with new Salesforce product and technical capabilities resulting from Salesforce releases and acquisitions
  • Coach and mentor other technical team members

Required Skills

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or in equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 8+ years’ progressive experience working as an application developer, application development lead or application architect on the platform 
  • 5+ years’ experience developing on the Salesforce platform including Apex, Visualforce, API, workflows, approval processes, triggers, Lightning, CSS, HTML, javascript, web services, SOQL
  • 1+ year experience with Financial Services Cloud
  • Salesforce certifications (nice to have):
    • Service Cloud Certification
    • Application Architect Certification
  • Strong knowledge of advanced Apex programming concepts including core design patterns, limits and bulk patterns, efficient and reliable trigger handling, synchronous and asynchronous operations and effective unit testing
  • Experience writing VisualForce, Apex Classes/Controllers, Apex Triggers and Lightning Web Components
  • Experience providing technical leadership to project resources to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Ability to develop simple and elegant solutions to complex problems
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum delivery framework
  • Exhibit excellent oral communication, written communication, organizational, and time management skills 
  • Strong leadership, presentation, influencing and teambuilding skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels
  • Exposure to any of the following tools and applications a plus: Gitlab, AutoRabit, Rally, Selenium, Informatica
  • Financial Services experience required
